SurThrival Gardening - Save Thousands on Groceries and Add years to Your Life:

(03/10) - SurThrival Gardening - Save Thousands on Groceries and Add years to Your Life:
As a lifelong gardener, I have struggled for years to cultivate sufficient protein-dense produce to feed family, friends and pets. Beans and potatoes are protein-rich sources, make great survival foods and are easily grown at home. However, few people care much for the taste of beans. I recently enjoyed the best meal I’ve had in months, that satiated my appetite similar to a four course meal, even though it was entirely vegetarian based. The key to the stew was the broth. Most soups / stews require either a chicken or beef broth. But store bought broths are oftentimes infused with unsavory ingredients.

The Recipe: a tomato/water based broth (dehydrated at home with a $30 device or the one we own), a few beans, a few English peas, penne pasta, small potato cubes, a few carrot and tomato slices and a dash of salt. Everything required to feed a family, one meal per person each day for the entire year can be grown on a small property. It can save thousands in grocery expenses and dramatically improve the overall health of your family. Sounds impractical? Watch a few of John Kohler's astounding videos. He grows most of his food at home on a 1/4 acre lot.
